saw there was only one post in the forum about this institution, from 2006

Interesting they have moved out of wyoming to Swaziland, in Africa, (at least it is not Liberia).

they seem to be very low key, - has anyone seen these guys around?

im always surprised that the people behind these things look very capable and educated. - surely it can't be that difficult for them to go down the accreditation route - hire 1 or 2 good faculty members and then just jump through the hoops? given their prior exp it would not be hard for them?

looking at wikipedia, it looks like the owner of rutherford is linked to the below: - again my question - it would not be that difficult for them to go legit? and surely from a marketing perspective they will enrol more students than - people wanting to study in 'swaziland' ..?

wiki states: Rutherford Owner or co-owner is Lester Carr, who was a co-owner of Columbia Pacific University and also serves as president of Columbia Commonwealth University [6] in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Columbia Pacific University (CPU) was an unaccredited nontraditional distance learning school in California.[1] It was founded in 1978 by Richard Crews, MD,[2] a Harvard-trained psychiatrist, and Lester Carr, PhD, a former president of Lewis University,[3] and operated with state approval.

I guess quality was not on the agenda, : (columbia related - not rutherford)

    wiki related -
"A Ph.D. dissertation written in Spanish was approved by four faculty who cannot speak the language."
"One dissertation "had no hypothesis, no data collection, and no statistical analysis. A member of the visiting committee characterized the work as more like a project paper at the college freshman level." The dissertation, The Complete Guide to Glass Collecting, was 61 pages long."
"At least nine students who received the Ph.D. degree in 1994 had been enrolled less than 20 months, four of them less than 12."[11]
