Batavia University and the Global Institute

Here's a distance study program listed as operating from Indonesia with a degree in Environmental Studies Field Degree Programs&Literature Programs.

It appears to have no legitimate accreditation. It is associated with an entity called the Global Institute.

They do offer some free courses (non-credit) that might be useful to prepare for a CLEP/Dantes test.

 

I have concerns about a 'university' that not only puts its website on the free Tripod hosting service, but doesn't even pay the $5 a month that it takes to keep advertising (in their case, for other schools!) from appearing on the site.

Same with the Global Institute.

Just for fun, I phoned the university's number. Appears to be a mobile phone.
