    Guys,

I'm British and have little or no knowledge of US Universities.

Can someone tell me if Southern Methodist University is accredited? Here is the link - SMU

    Cheers,

    Dave C.

SMU is a regionally accredited school with national name recognition. The most widely read college ranking system, published by US News & World Report magazine, currently ranks SMU #71 among "National Universities". US News recognizes four "tiers" for "National Universities"; SMU is in the second-highest tier.

In addition to being regionally accredited, SMU probably has appropriate professional accreditation in certain fields, e.g. ABET for engineering or ABA for law.

You can't go wrong with SMU. As CalDog states, they are accredited out the wazoo...Regionally accredited, ABET (engineering), ABA (law), AACSB (business), etc. They are very well known, especially for their law program.
