We've had a bunch of threads on that, one of them recent. The bottom line is that there's no significant difference and by now most employers and university admissions departments realize it.

    Steve,

Is there no difference in "student outcomes" or "perceptions of student outcomes" among peers and employers?

I have taught at various online schools and I witnessed that that perceptions of distance learning are changing slowly toward the positive, but those perceptions have no direct connection to learning outcomes. This is observation is "arm-chair" though.

I suppose there is, especially since perception hasn't yet caught up to the NSD reality.

I believe it. I think it's just that people started out with a presumption that it couldn't be as good, but are finding out more and more that's not the case.
