I understand that.. But people should welcome newbies instead of trying to send them away! -

you might want to check out Accredited Online Colleges Guide - lots of good info on there, and they'll help you figure out what schools are accredited as well. Just wanted to add my two cents in, hope that helps! -
European University has recently achieved IQA Accreditation from CEEMAN (Central and East European Management Development Association). CEEMAN -
CEEMAN - yet another accreditation scam
This is yet another accreditation scam, that in exchange for a couple of thousands euros a year, will give you a 'quality' certification.
European University is at its best in claiming recognition from dubious organizations.
The only one that should count, from the Swiss education authorities- well, that is missing and will probably never be obtained.
So-called cantons recognition is an intelectual fraud - is simply says that the rooms are properly protected against fire, etc, etc nothing to to with education .
Google Dirk Craen on the Belgian version (french) and you will find out the true story of the conmen who created and now are running this diploma - and Swiss visa/passport - scam. -
Avoid If Possible
I unfortunately have studied (if you want to call it that) at EU & with this post would like to prevent you form making the same mistake I made.
Firstly I'd like to say that all the above posts are 100% true. Academically EU cannot be called a university its standard is at best equal to GCSE standards if not easier in some subjects. The exams are in most cases multiple choice, with questions like "did Bono invent business ethics " or "what does a art designer wear" and in one paper you actually got 2 marks if you wrote your name correctly..I'm not joking. There is absolutely no practical application to the material they teach, all you do is simply memorise what they tell you to pass the exam but you have no clue how this could apply to the real world.
With Regard to the atmosphere, EU does not provide accommodation on campus, nor does it offer parking, if you decide to have a car to drive from your apartment to the campus the parking will cost you at least 15 euro a day. The campus in Montreux for example doesn't have a coffee machine nor a snack machine or any canteen in the sort. No learning areas are provided apart form a small computer room which all the students should use. Getting accepted isn't a question as long as you pay the fees, I wasn't even asked to present my final school grades so basically you don't even have to go to school to study here. Students are mostly unmotivated and don't care mostly because their parents force them to study against there will, in come cases so that they can get a Swiss passport after enough years of residency.
The entire EU organisation is profit orientated. Students are made to pay to print from the EU computers, they tried to charge the football team for the kits, and no investments are made into the facility. The chairs are old and unfordable and projectors don't work. Students are also made to buy books for all their subjects, which are almost never and in some cases never used which cost up to 150 euro a piece.
To conclude if you want a university experience and want to get a good education rather than wasting your time for three years, don't go to this place which despite everything i've mentioned still costs 10,000 euro per semester. Furthermore from what I have read above it isn't even accredited, and if you read about it's founder the original campus had to be closed because they where basically exchanging useless ''diplomas'' for cash. | | | | | New England College | New England College

The question is whether the EU is accredited, and the answer is yes. The recognized accreditation comes from programmatic accreditors ACBSP and IACBE in the US, and IQA accreditation from CEEMAN in Europe. In dragging up an old thread that has already been addressed, it appears both posters (new) above have an axe to grind with EU. Calling established bona fide accreditating associations "dubious" and a "scam" is uncalled for and ludicrous at best and scandalous at worst. Posting Permissions - You may not post new threads
