Are they moving from Hawaii or its their CA office that is moving?

They are unaccredited, I read that they are considered a mill.

Maybe they are changing for better?

    Maybe.

Changes are always difficult for everyone, and reaching for accreditation having been considered a degree mill for so long takes time.

Th first step is surely having a state approval for issueing degrees.

Remember that Breyer State University was linked to the fraudulent St. Regis University, a fake US/Liberian entity (as many others were).
Some of these other entities have been closed by Court order, or simply stopped their activity (websites are no longer available).
Breyer State is the only one who survived, and now has a State approval for issueing degrees, although ODA says their degrees should not be considered equivalent to accredited universities.
But only a few weeks ago ODA described BSU as a degree mill ("D" classification).
BSU is now classified "S", a state approved entity which programs don't meet Oregon standards.
But using their degrees is not illegal.

I think however it's a further step to legality.

they list this university in their about PWU.

Thomas A. Edison University - is there such university or they wanted to say state college?

Anyway if they are really and I state IF they are really going to make a change for better and earn recognized accreditation
then I will be happy for their graduates.

At this time I feel sorry for their graduates because they get
    rip off.

Bears' Guide, 15th edition, page 281 lists a degree mill based out of Florida and Arkansas known as Thomas A. Edison College. There is, of course, a real, accredited school in New Jersey known as Thomas Edison State College www.tesc.edu .

The article said that they are moving their administrative offices to San Diego. The administrative offices are, or recently were, in LA, CA.

Pacific Western University (California) is an unaccredited, state-approved, California university which has gotten a consistently good write-up in Bears' Guide as one of the better unaccredited distance learning options.

Why thank you Rector for copying my post word for word from another forum and posting it here. You indeed are a gentleman. It would be polite to give me credit but that's OK, however you should know what you are talking about before you do this.

Pacific Western University, California was purchased by a group of educational entrepreneurs who are dedicated to making PWU a new quality Distant Learning institution . You may read about this on their new website by clicking on the 'ABOUT US' button and reading the last two paragraphs. This and other information on the website should have answered your questions.

Pacific Western University in Hawaii does not exist as such. It is called American PacWest International University and who owns it? I do not know.

The school headquarters have always been in Los Angeles and now moving to San Diego.

I don't know mach about PWU.
have a friend with CSU Northridge BSEE and MSEE from PWU.

All he had to do to earn PWU MSEE was write a paper, I dont remember how many pages, it wasn't a weekend thing he worked on it longer, I think 6 months.

As stated earlier I welcome their move as long as its not for cosmetics only. Its my wishes that graduates have gained knowledge and respectful credential(NA, RA, PA).

Only my opinion, thanks for clarification on the Hawaii situation, I remember reading different information in the past.

Maybe go back Google can show the connection and maybe not

Their MBA is CA approved unaccredited degree.

As of last year, I heard that one of the new owners had served prison time in connection with the LaSalle matter.

Any one else have any currrent information?

This place was a joke. I've seen nothing to indicate that the laugh factor has been significantly improved upon.
