    Hi,

I am a working professional and have decided to do MBA from Missouri Baptist University at St.Louis. But I am not sure whther my decision is good as the univ is not accredited by AACSB.
Do we really need to see that a univ is accredited by AACSB before doing MBA. How important is an AACSB accredition for MBA programs. Is it that employers do not prefer the colleges which do not have AACSB accredition?
If anyone has an information on missouri baptist university at st.louis, about the campus job selections after MBA program, request to share with me. Is it worth for me to spend huge amount of money and do MBA there(at Missouri Baptist Univ.) or should only consider an AACSB accredited univ. to expect fair jobs after my MBA.

please help me in taking a decision..

    thanks in advance,

    todd

Since you are a newbie, you might not have known this, but it is traditional to post a weblink when you ask about a specific school: www.mobap.edu .

If you hope to get a full-time, tenure-track position as a professor of business, you will need a doctorate in business from an AACSB business school, in which case an AACSB MBA would definitely help. Employers in private industry, on the other hand, seem to be quite ill-informed about accreditation, according to our own eminent Dr. Rich Douglas, who wrote his dissertation on accreditation, non-traditional degrees, and human resources. So, the non-AACSB status of MBU might not be so large a detriment if your plans are to go into employment in private industry.

    please suggest.
    thanks once again
