From the BSU web site comes this piece of BS:

    Check it out at http://www.breyerstate.com/infodoclaw.htm.

But be warned that when you do be sure to take a dogie bag.

You mean like as in Mother Teresa's group? And, if so -- or maybe even if not -- then the punchline is... um... what, again? Help me understand.

Mountain State Univeristy which is a private regionally accredited university gets away with it.

Then again they have a bit more legitimacy.

"I wonder how they get away with calling themselves a state university"

The same way they get away with calling themselves a university!

    This may be it.

“Welcome to West Virginia’s Portal! We’re committed to providing the information and services you need for working, visiting and learning in the Mountain State!”

Of course they are..Yet it proves that not all schools with the name "state" are State Universities.

Could Breyer State be located in a Brier Patch ?
Perhaps it's a degree mill with bad spellers.

    Maine: The One-Syllable State

Opening up a whole new set of possible names for when you found your own school:
Show-me State University, Natural State College, Yellowhammer State Institute of Technology.

Oh no! That would open up the possibility of Connecticut having a Nutmeg State University. Fortunately we already have the far more distiguished souning Charter Oak State College.

    Golden State U

As a Californian, I can't allow Golden State University to be overlooked.

As you would obviously expect, Golden State U is proudly based in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. It also has a regional office in Beirut, Lebanon, and affiliations with CMCE College in India.

And Justice Stephan Breyer could hear the case.

What's in a name? The "American Public University System" is an accredited private for-profit degree provider in West Virginia.

I agree that if Breyer State claims that a genuine, respectable evaluator would declare its degrees equivalent to those of a regionally accredited U.S. college, Breyer is engaged in deception.

I suppose it could be true that a designated "evaluator" would say those things, but in that case the evaluator is either incompetent or part of the deception.
