Hard to hide a mill in a country with half the population of NYC.

    From Wikipedia:

Adjust for sarcasm. Ireland does have them.

    There was no sarcasm.

It should be harder for an Irishman (archaic?) to use a bogus Irish degree in Ireland than it is for some parallel American. There are a relative few legit schools in Ireland and more than we can be mindful of in the US.

Oh. Should one of us feel insulted?

    I hope not.

My comment alluded to the Irish/English diploma mill connection (incorporate in one, operate from the other, disturbed by neither). That's all.

The current problem seems to be a tempest in a Taoiseach.
I guess Bertie wanted a double.

    Rich,

Now is this an actual CA approved PWU degree?

This should be right up your glossolalia.

    Taoiseach = tao is each.

    Something inscrutably Eastern?

I would initially check when in what year that person graduated from PWU.

I remember that in 80's it was second rate but in job market some what accepted credential.

Persons with accredited bachelor’s degree some times went to PWU to learn and earn masters degree for career advancement.
I don't think it was so negative as today.

But things change with time and today DL is not what it was in the past.

To be honest it is sad that they didn't keep up with CA standards and maybe should have gone for DETC accreditation just like CCU.

Today there is no reason and actually can be dangerous to have PWU degree.

Only in business. This is easily discerned from visiting their website.

Yep. But the pained reasoning it took to get to that point had several misleading elements, as I addressed above.

    Rich,

No I mean does this guy have the CA approved PWU degree or the Hawaii lite? Couldn't tell from article although he is a finance chair.

This PWU stuff can get a bit confusing. Remind me to never get a degree from there!!:)

If you ignore verbal sleight-of-hand it's much clearer, Dan. Dr Douglas' defuscation of obfuscation should serve you (and all of us) quite well. Live and lern, me boyo.
    Best wishes to you, Janko

As I said, only in business. PWU has never offered California-Approved degrees in other areas. When California required all schools to be approved, PWU "moved" elsewhere (while still operating in California). As John noted, they created PWU-CA to offer a few business programs approved by California. No doubt, they have played on this confusion for years.

    Rich and Uncle,

I understand that PWU is CA approved only for business degrees. What I'm getting at is what PWU degree does this guy have? Is it CA approved Business or the Hawaii nonsense? It doesn't say what for or when just that he got a PHD after many years of research.

Kind of what I'm also getting at is when does a PWU degree bring on chants of less than wonderfulism? Is it Hawaii only or any PWU degree?

He doesn't claim a Ph.D. in business. Therefore....your second alternative.

All PWU degrees are bogus. They were either awarded under California's non-regulatory "Authorized" category, or later under Louisiana or Hawaii's much more lenient laws. (At the time PWU was operating in those states, respectively.) Finally, some business degrees have been awarded by the new PWU, approved by the BPPVE. But that approval is almost meaningless.

I would agree and thanks for the comments. Adding to the confusion is why the BPPVE doesn't get it.

OT but how about the Chargers today!
