Up to 4,000 state teachers went to work Wednesday morning considered "highly qualified" to educate California children.
By the end of the day, that was no longer the case after a San Francisco Superior Court judge voided a temporary teaching permit that allowed an estimated 1,800 to 4,000 teachers into classrooms.
