"IMPORTANT NOTICE: AmbaiU is presently evaluating the feasibility of obtaining accreditation from an accrediting agency approved by the US Department of Education. Until this evaluation is completed, no new students are being admitted to the BBA and MBA programs. The outcome of an eventual accreditation process cannot be guaranteed, and it would not be fair to create expectations to prospective students that might not materialize. Presently enrolled students please send an email to [email protected] mentioning your full name and your enrollment number."

    Can they advertise like this?

One diploma mill is still pursuing recognized accreditation,
The problem is they send me so many lies, every time I think they run out of excuses they pool a new rabbit out of the hat.

So it became obvious that it’s a tactics used to increase sales.

    AMBAI takes interesting new tack

Well, apparently AMBAI is still in operation, even without the BBA and MBA programs. They seem to be trying an entirely new (and possibly unique) approach.

AMBAI's educational programs are still delivered by an entity called "AmbaiU". However, the term "University" seems to have been dropped. Moreover, AmbaiU no longer claims to grant bachelor's or master's degrees: they now offer two "certificate programs" in "Management & Business Administration" instead. If you successfully finish the program, you get a "Certificate of Completion", rather than a degree.

If AMBAI chooses to offer educational programs in this manner -- without claiming university status or degree-granting authority -- then no one can complain; AMBAI obviously has every right to publish and distribute their educational materials. The only issue might be the possibility that their "MB&A Certificate" could be misconstrued as an MBA degree.

Having a general knowledge of the Greater Boston area, I tend to think that AMBAI is located in some sort of mail-box delivery service, such as Mailboxes, Etc.

I will look into this, and report my findings.

That may be likely, from the bottom of their front page.

There have been several past AMBAI threads, but without the search function they are going to be difficult to find. As I recall, the consensus was that AMBAI was probably operating illegally in Massachusetts without any state license or approval.

My guess is that the state finally woke from its slumbers and leaned on AMBAI, threatening to close them.

So now they are no longer calling themselves a university, they are no longer offering degrees and the initials 'MBA' have become 'M&BA'. It seems to have become a more typical post-secondary vocational school offering non-credit continuing education classes.

It's interesting that they apparently are being allowed to teach out current students in their discontinued degree programs.

The talk about seeking accreditation is probably just there to soothe the state so that AMBAI isn't shut down entirely. It probably hints at the promises and sweet-talk that state regulators were hearing.

At any rate, it puts the best possible spin on why the degree programs suddenly disappeared so that prospective students aren't scared away.

Sure! When these conditions below are met

    1. When they finally evaluated the feasibility of obtaining accreditation from an accrediting agency approved by the US Department of Education.

    2. When they finally decided to apply for the accreditation

    3. When they finally had the accreditation from either of the 6 regional accrediting bodies or the national accrediting body DETC.

    Then sure go ahead!

    Ambai u is a joke

I RECENTLY SUBMITTED SOME QUESTIONS TO AMBAI REALATING TO ITS ACCREDIDATION AS WELL AS OTHER GENERAL BUT CERTAINLY REASONABLE QUESTIONS. I DID NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE SO I SENT THEM A MESSAGE ASKING IF THEY WERE STILL IN BUSINESS ONLY TO RECEIVE A NASTY EMAIL FROM THEM WHICH WAS BOTH RUDE, ARROGANT, UNFRIENDLY, AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

I CERTAINLY WOULD NEVER ATTEND A SCHOOL THAT TREATED POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS SO POORLY.

I WONDER IF THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAS ANY EDUCATION AT ALL? SURE DIDNT SEEM LIKE IT.

THE END RESULT IS THAT I FEEL THE SCHOOL IS NOT REAL, AND RUN BY A BUNCH OF IDIOTS.

HAS ANYONE ELSE EVER TRIED TO CONTACT AMBAI UNIVERSITY?

    WHERE ARE THEIR STUDENTS LOCATED?

    ANY IN THE USA?

HAS ANYONE EVER GRADUATED FROM THERE? IF SO PLEASE GIVE US AN EXAMPLE OF THE TRAINING YOU RECEIVED AND WHAT KNOWLEDGE YOU HAVE GAINED AND WHAT LEVEL OF A POSITION YOU NOW HOLD.
