Either this is due to the new OECD/ UNESCO Global Database project coming online, or they are sick of having to clean it out with inappropriate entries. Nonetheless, it is good to see that it can no longer be used by those seeking to try and feign some sort of external endorsement (but on the other hand, throw disdain at the mere concept!!!).

    Cheers,

    It's about time!

Hurray! It boggled the mind how the place operated to begin with. It was ridiculous. Imagine a web site where anyone could both create and edit entries; and anyone could edit anyone else's entries. What kind of over-the-top, open-source-loving, socialist nutjob thought that up?

Sadly, the bad guys have their screen shots, which they can flaunt forever. The new bad guys will just have to to counterfeit the site.

Screen shots are certainly a marketing phenomenon. A friend has an Asian teacher who came out with a new book. All the followers were asked (or perhaps required) to buy ten copies at the exact same moment from Amazon. The book went from #87,000 to #7 within minutes. It was only there for a few minutes, but long enough to get the screen shot, and to use forever in their marketing campaign.
