If you mean the University of the Pacific, of course I've heard of it. It's the real "UOP":

    http://www.uop.edu/

There isn't any 'Pacific University' on the BPPVE list.

There's a Pacific University up north of the border in Forest Grove Oregon:

Both of these Pacifics are long established private RA universities that essentially are undergraduate colleges with a limited number of doctoral programs, mostly in health related subjects. (Things like pharmacy, optometry, dentistry, clinical psych and the like.) The California UoP has a well regarded law school in Sacramento.

Or do you mean the diploma mill in California, where you can buy their "degrees" on this website:
    http://www.mluxo.com/?
    They´ve a PO-Box in a "Whilshire Boulevard"...

Pacific University in Oregon is a good one (accredited).

University of the Pacific-McGeorge School of Law has been advertising for students on NPR lately.

Private ABA schools running recruiting ads is a fairly new phenomenon; I wonder if applications are down due to such schools' extremely high tuition?

the degrees they have up for display are columbia state university degrees!!! Take a look at them at their FAQ-section! Still with the douglas ford signature on them. I wonder, if that's a new enterprise which has just backdated its webpage to 1996.
