Is anyone on DI familiar with, or have contacts in, a medical school called Saba in the West Indies? Does it publish anywhere a list of its graduates? As part of a larger investigation, our office is researching the provenance of someone who claims to have gone there in the 1990s.

I have it heard it claimed that the State of California has particularly rigorous standards for foreign medical schools. Their list of recognized schools includes "Saba University School of Medicine (coursework from 1/1/02 to present)", listed under "Netherlands Antilles." Don't know what this implies about the coursework in the 1990s.

If I'm remembering the right school, it used to be on Montserrat, but had to relocate to Saba when the volcano blew. 2002 would have been around the time it reopened after relocating, so that makes sense.

Have the Netherland Antilles an accreditation mechanism? If so, Is it any good?

Apparently St Kitts & Nevis now have some sort of accreditation protocol, according to the SKN government website. I'd be interested in informed evaluation of it.

I believe this was American University of the Caribbean, which was in Montserrat and moved to St. Maarten.
