quack quack Smells like a duck. This ACU is, if I recall correctly, the same operation as the interloper version of American Coastline University two years ago. The "real" (heh heh) American Coastline University is the subject of a Jeff Brunton letter from a few years ago, describing Hawaii's investigation. Hawaii found that mail for ACU was going to Richard Hoyer's PO box in Rochester, NY. The interloper site took a lot of material off Hoyer's version of ACU, then disappeared a few weeks later, seeming to reemerge as American Central University.
It's at http://www.idetc.org (funny that, eh?) as opposed to http://www.detc.org I am presenting at the ACPET Conference this Friday, and am going to give the audience a challenge. Can you guess the real accreditor? IDETC or DETC?? Quickly showing them the splash pages of both sites, should make for some light entertainment, amongst other luscious visual delights. Cheers, George
Awfully bold I thought. Was skimming through Yahoo DL page and found this. A lot of less than wonderfuls are listed here. Dan
George: Yikes! See how they slip in ACU with real DETC schools! This is blatent way less than wonderfulism. Dan
But it's not new news. I mean, IDETC has been mentioned -- and lambasted -- here before. It's a complete fraud, in case the new readers aren't sure yet. A. Complete. Fraud. Stay away.
I noticed they did include some DETC schools in there " accrediated schools" yet the true DETC schools mention nothing about IDETC. International Distance Education and Training Council is a vessel for degree mills..Run from IDETC!
