New twist to bogus universities issue

In one letter, the PSD (public Services Department) also stated that Akamai University was recognised by the Government.

Sources on the National Accreditation Board said Akamai was another "dubious" university being investigated by the authorities.

The PSD regulations are quite clear. So long as an individual holds an undergraduate degree from a recognised GAAP institution, they do not care about the post graduate accreditation status of any Master or PhD. I researched this about five years ago. Do remember, this is ONLY for employment in the Public Service Department. Many unaccredited institutions operating in Malaysia have used this to demonstrate some sort of accreditation status, which of course is not true. But the scanned government letters hanging off the website do look really really pretty.

MALAYSIANS paid a total of RM2.8mil to dubious foreign universities to obtain their “doctorates”, noted Malaysia Nanban.

The daily, in its editorial, commended the Government on its move to curb this kind of malpractice.

It was important to put a stop to the activities of local agents who act as mediators

reign unrecognised universities which claim to conduct various courses locally, it said.

The daily also urged the Government to investigate claims that bogus universities had obtained recognition letters from the Public Services Department and the Higher Education Ministry.

It is interesting to note that two different organs of the authorities have conflicting opinions of the same institution. Something has got to give.

 

IIU and CSU shown their recognision was fantastic. IIU with all their many Virtual Campus scaterd around to show to the visitor of their recognition, this is misled and cheting.
CSU was advertise LAN modules recognition from Malaysia Accrediting Board whereby also misled a lot of students.
Akamai was advertise recognise by NAEC and 60 Days Money Back Guaranteed also misled many peoples. Also they take the student adavnatge to published their face and credential in their circular marketing brochure. If these student found Akamai recently status, what is the employer going to look at them and how they felt, the issue will continuose and carry on if there is no forstop. I think they really got nightmare and shamful. One is from Jit Sin Independent School, One is from PI Graduate Studies and another one is from Polis Diraja Malaysia. Hooooh. Plus they also put Akamai was listed in the Offcial MBA Guide unicorn.us.com/guide/programs/alpha.html. This shown they are really look of many types of misled way to promote their program. Greedy for money and make an education like selling a cheese cake.

 

I agree with you over the fact that CSU also misled alot of students and the people in charge are utterly proud and arrogant.

 

I think claiming too much of recognistion might kill the university especially in Hawaii. Brunton will aware from time to time to look after those school doing thing wrong.

 

It came to surprice that the site for EDS had removed from Akamai University website. Does that mean AU had terminate EDS.

I think Oregon site also would like to author some wording since there are something happen in Malaysia. Oregon had label IIU under Irish Government ask Malaysia authoority to ack again IIU. Then what about Akamai University and Cambrigdshire University?!?!?! Should they upgraded as Degree Mill or some others nice Grading?

 

From here we can see how Akamai respond to the people in Asia. EDS will need to work out his own method to solve their students in Malaysia. This time Ben will really "KOYAK" : FINISH. Probably Dr C will going to form another incorporate in others state under others name to grant the degree to EDS existing students.

Whatever the failings of Dr C and Akamai in Malaysia, it is paradoxical that Akamai is being savagely attacked and 'exposed' by Xtra/Sonata88/Wan Salleh -one are one the same by the way, who runs a degree mill!

There is no paradox that he lives in the north, drives a 'Sonata', and is Chinese - '88'

I am not questioning the accuracy of your information Xtra/Sonata 88/ Wan Salleh, just the fact that you have listed AU and a long list of other universities that you label as 'degree mills', but I have noticed the absence of one mill which I am sure you own!
