Although the "university" website does have some nice relaxing music.

 

The UNESCO Higher Education Institution Registry has no academic worth. There are many "Universities" listed, that are diploma mills and not recognized.

For example choose the country United Kingdom and you will find many degree mills like Buxton University,( which has been already discussed here) that have only a P.O. Box and no study programs.

Until a few weeks ago everyone, which visited this website, could delete and add entries there.

 

HEIR is not official unesco registry.

Everyone can add, edit and delete.

Please don't confuse with IHU - International Handbook of Universities.
Also UNESCO registry that is used as GAAP - and NACES evaluation agencies.

Not that couple of mills didn't get published there but still a guide used widely.

HEIR is list of bad snd valid schools that anyone can add what ever they want.

Including some mills such as ITU,IUFS is there to not a big honor
