    Dear All,
Can anyone please check and update about the Regis Vs St Regis law suit status?

This thread may be used to update the information/developments regarding this very important law suit (on the History of diploma mills) regularly.

    Please help.

Ya know? On one day this week you posted a question asking members if you should continue to work for a recognized degree mill. Then you post some threads indicating that you are interested in driving a wooden stake through the heart of certain degree mills. But only certain specific degree mills.

I don't know you or your history. You present yourself out of nowhere in this confused manner... (I've been used, manipulated, but I always knew a lot about what was going on and I really didn't care until the paychecks stopped coming and then, when they stopped, I was really pissed and I really need a job but maybe my old boss will still give me some cash if I spit out some code but then what happens next? Maybe I'd better join the other side. But then, how the hell do I pay the bills? Oh, shit, I don't know what to do! I really wish that I had developed some sort of moral code somewhere along the way. That sort of thing might come in handy right about now. But since I don't really have any idea how to go about living a normal life, I'll go on the internet and ask total strangers how I should conduct my behavior. That's the ticket!
What, exactly, are you asking for?

    St Regis Group

    Dear Jack,
I was just a webdesigner working for many people. When I realised about the St Regis Group, I wanted to make it public, as one of my dear friend was cheated by St Regis group by selling fake degree/apostille and notarization.

Then I asked the St Regis group for clarification on the same. They refused to say anything. I myself went on checking the facts (even I applied as a student, sent money to St Regis and got a degree within 15 days).

When I was about to put the reality to the mass media, I was arrested by police regarding a meaningless complaint given by the St Regis Indian Agent, Mr. Ravishankar. I have posted all those details in a different thread in this forum.

Coming month, I am organizing a Press Conference on which all major media people and Law Enforcement Authorities will participate. I will put forward what I found about the St Regis to the Media and Law enforcement authorities.

I think it is unlikely that Azad actually wrote the quoted text. Could you post a link to it please?

    thanks-

It is not quoted text. I apologize for any suggestion that it was.

Apparently Galanga knows who Mr. Azad is and what he's up to. Unfortunately most Degreeinfo readers probably don't have the slightest clue. I certainly don't.

Hopefully things will clarify in due course.

I think you're most probably right. I confess that azads whining tone along with his postings has resulted in a fairly well formed opinion on my part. This guy has been in the employ of various degree mill owners/operators. He wants everyone to believe that he is not complicit in their activities yet he is claiming to have evidence of these "illegal" activities. It is not clear that he has presented this evidence to the proper authorities. Yet he wants everyone to believe that he is now an anti-degree mill crusader. I hope that degreeinfo members will forgive me if I am not willing to automatically accept the idea that he has turned over a new leaf. I'd be more convinced if he just shut up, went away and never associated himself with degree mills again. As it is, he begins to seem like that capellasucks guy. The more he posts the more guilty he seems.

    I too agree, but...

Jack, I too agree with you. But, if I had just shut up and went away, Dixie Randock could have continued using my name for her fake operations. Do you know how many people questioned me about the St Regis operations? Do you know how much I was tortured for just doing the web designing work for St Regis group? Do you know how much pain I had, when a parent came to my place and shouted at me for working with St Regis?

If I had just shut up and went away, I would have been stamped as a Degree mill operator. I do not need that. I am not a person to sell fake degrees and documents for money.

I want the world to know who was doing the business and who's name was misused.

Stop whining. You willingly worked for a criminal. You got screwed as a result. Maybe you've learned something. If you don't want her to use your name then go to court.

    Yes. I did

    Dear Jack,
I have already asked my attorneys about this. They are filing the documents in front of the Hon'ble Court by July first week. The same day, the mass media people will also be briefed and given the copy of the documents.

OK. Tell us which court. Which jurisdiction. Which Judge. What is the docket number? Be specific.

    Court Details

    Dear Jack,
My advocates are preparing the documents to file the case in Hon'ble Supreme Court of India against the illegal operations of St Regis Group in India.

The petition will brief about the St Regis University's application for AICTE approval in which they had submitted a Annual Profit/Loss Account.

The petition also will brief about their fake operations with evidences (I had posted a few samples in this forum few weeks back.). The same day the media people also will be explained about these operations.

Let me give a try as India has extradition treaty with US and we can bring in the actual criminals for prosecution.

    Details

    Dear Sir,
My advocates are preparing to file a Public Interest Litigation concerning the Diploma mills (St Regis group particularly) in the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, New Delhi, India.

Supreme Court is the highest court in India and may order the concerened authorities to bring in the criminals associated with the Diploma mills to India. I am sure that the Honorable Court will take stringent action against the Diploma mill owners and their Indian Agents as this is causing serious problems to innocent students.

And given the fabled lassitude of the Indian judicial system, we can expect swift results in forty or fifty years.

    No Sir

People were made to believe that Indian Judicial System will take time. No! There are hundreds of examples that the Judgement was given within a month or two, even for murder cases.

This is a Public Interest Litigation in which hundreds of thousands of students career is in question and I hope that the Court will take this in to consideration and order immediately.

Begging Mr Azad's pardon, I stand by what I said.

I am certainly not "made to believe" anything in the matter of the Indian judiciary. Having studied much from Dharmasastra to Derrett and beyond, and daily reading
"The Hindu", "Indian Express", and the "Hindustan Times", not to mention having correspondents in Bombay (sorry, no fascist Mumbai here), Pune, and Kolkata, I am, multumesc foarte mult, capable of forming a reasonable assessment of the situation.

Mr Azad presents himself (now) as the dupe of crafty persons. Mr Azad should not generalise dupiety (???) to include others.

I will not argue with Mr Azad. I am by no means sure exactly what Mr Azad wants--and the more he talks, the more unsure I become. Mr Azad should save his persuasive powers for that massive blockbuster press conference of which he so often speaks.

    Jaya he, etc.,

  18. Azad's "history"

He was originally a "professor" at Canterbury University, one of the InstantDegree mill schools based out of the Seychelles. Then, apparently he got a better deal with St. Regis University and jumped ship. Now he claims that all he ever did was design web sites for St. Regis. I think he did much, much more, but am glad to see that he is at last attempting to distance himself from a criminal gang that includes Hoyer, Randock, and many others....

The saddest dupe of all is not Azad, but probably a guy named Bob Stefaniak who is from Milwaukee (not Liberia!), and who ran the "Liberian Humanitarian Fund" for a while at St. Regis. Like many others, Stefaniak got his "degree" from St. Regis, and lo and behold became a "PROFESSOR" of that institution!! He actually believed it, and was involved in a televised interview with those Indiana workers who were cheated out of their money, defending the so-called "degrees" they earned. He has sort of disappeared now - wonder what he's doing?

    Azad, do you know?

An interesting question to ponder that would be very difficult to answer is what percentage of people are truly duped into believing that they earned their degree mill diploma versus just a co-conspirator. This question is also raised regarding specific individuals like this Bob fellow. Was he really duped into believing that the scam was real or was he just hoping that he would get a cut of the ill gotten gains if the operation continued?

    Bob?

As far as I know, Bob has a friend named Vedamurthy Sarvotham. Bob and Sarvotham had arranged the place for Panama Canal University and the fake Liberian Embassy is Bangalore.

When my friend was cheated by St Regis group by giving a fake degree and apostille, I went against them and BOB and Sarvotham have plotted the arrest action against me.

Ask Bob only one question. Where is the money he collected for the Humanitarian Fund???
