It appears that Madison "University" has moved again, as well as updating their website. The buildings pictured are new, but by the looks of it, Madison has a very impressive campus! Very high tech and modern.

They list their physical address (under Contact MU ) as
A search for that address reveals a property at that address that was recently sold. It doesn't look very impressive. I wonder what the administrative offices did to deserve that?

Since I have doubts that the listing will be present for much longer, I have attached the image of the property.

Photo did not seem to attach properly.

  3. This new-fangled institution (5 years) is serious business. I think that they would apply for accreditation in 2 or 3 years. The improvements that they are making are impressive.

    1. Drop the Doctorates
    2. Buy a new building

Now, in that case, they would need some help from people who understand the US accreditation process.

As I said before, many DL experts and personnel post in this wonderful forum, they can receive help from Rich, John and the more extraordinary of all, Mary (She is 2 for 2).

They already have accreditation, from the World Association of Universities and Colleges (whose website they happen to host). I believe it is generally described as less than wonderful.

Besides, for a "new-fangled institution", don't you think they are offering a few too many courses?

I would stay far far away of this "instituition"...to measure if a school is serious, one shouldn't compare against what it might make slightly better than a diploma mill but rather than how it compares to a traditionally accredited school...and it simply doesn't compare at all imo.

They keep on sending direct mail and flyers in the form of post cards to encourage me to enroll. Quite persistent and not very sure of their authenticity.

It's a Madison, Madison, Madison, World

One of the DegreeInfo "Warning Signs of a Less than Wonderful School is: The school name is deceptively similar to a reputable school.

Madison University deserves some credit for picking a name that is similar to the names of not just one, but two well-known reputable schools: the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and James Madison University.

Not to mention the lesser-known, but still reputable, James Madison College (a division of Michigan State University) and Madison Area Technical College (a community college in Wisconsin).

Gee, that looks alot like the office park where I work in fairfax, and very similar to Exxon-Mobil's headquarter's down the street...

And once again they mention the USDLA (which has no accrediting authority)

And this statement is no surprise (just like Almeda)

    US Department of Education
The U.S. Department of Education states; accreditation does not provide automatic acceptance by an institution of credit earned at another institution, nor does it give assurance of acceptance of graduates by employers. Acceptance of students or graduates is always the prerogative of the receiving institution or employer. For these reasons, besides ascertaining the accredited status of a school or program, students should take additional measures to determine, prior to enrollment, whether or not their educational goals will be met through attendance at a particular institution. It is the responsibility of each student to determine, prior to registration at Madison University, that their degree program or studies, meet admission, employment, or transfer requirements.

    DLAB

USDLA is now advertising a new accreditation service via a body called the DLAB

"The Distance Learning Accreditation Board (DLAB) is a service of its parent, the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA). DLAB officially commenced its activities in December 2004."

    A re-emergence of GATE.

I hope the USDLA will choose to accredit schools and programs already possessing recognized accreditation. The reasons should be obvious.

Steve Randock is a Builder selling Manufactured Homes??? He is the husband of Dixie Ellen Randock, the proud owner of 25+ Universities without any buildings???

She may use one of the manufactured homes from Steve Randock for putting the name plates of all her Universities???

    different Amy

    Hi Azad,

No, this Amy is a different person with a different last name living in Mississippi. Amy Hensley is based in Spokane, about 2000 km to the west and north of Mississippi.

I think your estimate of 25 universities in the Saint Regis group is low by more than a factor of 2!

    Amy Hensley!

Amy Hensley is the Accounts Administrator, who receives and sends funds for the St Regis Group.

Amy Hensley had an ABN AMRO Bank account in the US and the same was confused by the Authorities as mine. I never had any US Bank account.

St Regis University is operating in various names, both online and offline to sell bogus degrees.

I hope everyone remembers that they had even sold MICROSOFT and CISCO Certifications for life experience!!!

    Re: Amy Hensley!

Hoyer was doing that, and I believe it's in the archives here somewhere. A pretty nervy thing to be doing, scamming the business of the world's richest man, no?

It appears that Madison University has removed all address information from their website. Although the contact page is still there, it is no longer linked to. I cannot find an email address on the website either. A telephone number is all they provide.

Madisonu.com and madisonu.org also give their address on their whois as "care of Network Solutions". Over in the EU it is a requiremtns to give a geographical address on business websites, (although all too often this is a mail-drop/virtual office setup!)
