The Swedish National Agency for Higher Education has decided not to accept for use in Sweden degrees issued by the Robert de Sorbon entities in France.

The National Agency for Higher Education is the central agency that deals with issues affecting universities and higher education institutions in Sweden. The Agency conducts quality audits of higher education, exercises supervision of the higher education institutions, reviews and analyses the higher education system, evaluates qualifications awarded abroad, supports educational innovation and development and also provides information on higher education and encourages student recruitment.

The National Agency is headed by the University Chancellor
The work of the National Agency is headed by the University Chancellor and a Board consisting of eleven members appointed by the government. The Agency has a staff of about 140 and its offices are in Stockholm.

    Foreign Degrees

If you have completed a higher education programme in some other country, you can receive a document that states which Swedish qualification your qualification corresponds to. In addition to this task of providing evaluations of qualifications from other countries the National Agency acts as an information office for NARIC (National Academic Recognition Information Centre) and ENIC (European Network of Information Centres), two networks for international cooperation.

An evaluation makes it easier to apply for jobs
An evaluation of your qualifications makes it easier when you apply for jobs both for you and for the employer. The National Agency does not evaluate programmes that provide qualifications for any of the regulated professions in Sweden, apart from teaching qualifications for which the Agency is the authority responsible.

I have no additional information, just a one-sentence announcement. Because of my work I hear from a lot of agencies around the U.S. and the world. I thought this particular item would interest the group.
