Ownership The general Inspectorate of the administration for education and research is under authority of ministry of Youth, Education and Research.

Scope of Authority The inspectorate is devoted to a permanent mission of control, study, information, assessment and advice. IGAENR reports are particularly devoted to administrative, financial, human resources, and economic fields.

Agency's Role The field of action includes central and regional services, public organisations, and all bodies included in education and research areas. The Inspectorate can be authorized by the minister to intervene at the request of others ministries, regional administration, foreign government or international organisations. Its activities include assessment, control and advice, organisation and management of education and research (except pedagogy).

IGNEAR

Hey again, C'est Christian,

I think that it is not what you were desperatly looking for.

IGNEAR is also and advisory comittee depending of the French Education ministry minister which gives a genera; report every year on 150 or less public universities . Their site is very difficult for me to acess but they seem to have like the CNE and advisory role through reports to the ministry for QA of Public Universities and no accrediting role even for public universities.
