Forgive me if this has been discussed before. I did a search and couldn't find an answer to this question. Is there an accurate list of RA colleges that accept DETC degrees or credits for transfer? I realize that there are very few RA colleges that accept DETC credits or degrees for transfer (I read somewhere only 30%), but who are they exactly? Does anyone know? Thanks.
Undergrad. I'm currently enrolled at Ashworth in their ECE Associate's degree program. I would like to continue for my Bachelor's in Liberal Arts or Disciplinary Studies. It's been very difficult, to say the least, finding an RA college that will accept and transfer the 60 DETC credits. I cannot find one RA school in Utah that will accept DETC credits. The school doesn't necessarily need to be in Utah since I am looking for a Bachelor's distance degree program that's RA accredited.

When I talked with Mike Lambert, executive director of the DETC, I was surprised to discover that there was no such list put together by them. His response made sense, though. There are just too many different RA universities. Add to that the possibility that schools often accept DETC credits for some programs and not for others. Even more, factor in that different staff members could reach different determinations, and it becomes just a mess. His advice was to decide upfront where you might want to use the degree and approach them ahead of time. Tom Nixon
I wander if Western Governers University can be a way to go. WGU is accreddited by DETC and by 4 or more RA. So they have dual DETC and RA accreditation, this kind of school can be a posibility. By the way can anyone coment if there are other universities with dual accreditation in USA, DETC and RA? Learner
