  2. For the life of me, I've never been able to figure out the attraction of LaCrosse University to the degree mill clientele. I mean, they actually make you do SOME work (see the "challenge exams"), yet their degree is just as worthless as one from SRU.

Why their clients don't just go to Almeda and get the same level of bogus "accredited degree" for about $150 is beyond me....

Lacrosse also lists USDLA accreditation. The USDLA website has advertisements for legit schools such as nova southeastern and jones international.

This has always baffled me, just ilke career builder and hot jobs advertising for Almeda.

No, they don't. Lacrosse lists USDLA membership, which is quite different. Anyone can become a member by paying a fee.

The USDLA is just now getting into the accreditation business. While an unrecognized accreditor, I suspect it will have some value. What I wonder, and what I've asked them, is whether or not the USDLA will accredited schools who are not already accredited by a USDoE-recognized accreditor. If they do, there will be a potential for abuse. (But not much of one; it is doubtful a school that will get through the USDLA's accreditation would turn around and abuse it.) I hope the USDLA limits itself to already-accredited schools who want their approval.
