    conserving thread count

This is a little off topic, but it does relate to SRU and its various schools and affiliates.

Boston College of London has just dumped its Saint Regis connection. The FAQ page said this until earlier today:
    (Google cache.)

    Now it says
There are professors at real universities who haven't been paying attention, and still allow their Saint Regis PhD's to be shown on the schools' web sites.

According to this letter from Dr Isaac Roland, SRU, Robertstown and JMU are recognised by the MoE as institutions with a physical presence in Liberia which are applying for accreditation. A date for the accreditation decision is set for March this year.

what, one office behind the MOE is all that it takes to be a recognized school in liberia? I personally think they should be getting their own schools back on their feet rather than helping these 3 less than wonderfuls take advantage of more people.

    I like the address.

    National Commission of Higher Education
    Fourth Floor, Room 407
    Ministry of Education
    PO Box 9014
    Muiruvia, Liberia, West Africa

It appears that the NCoHE is on the fourth floor in room 407 of the Ministry of Education which all fits within a PO Box 9014. This is entirely believable since we've seen many examples of multiple universitys fitting in a PO Box, why not a commission and a MoE?

Finally we're talking about the Liberia that is in West Africa as opposed, I guess, to the other Liberias that are sprinkled around the world?

Bill this is not an argument " PO Box 9014"

When I send my taxes to the IRS all the IRS is in PO Box 10084

But SRU and their accreditors are as bogus as it gets.

I'm with you on this one.

And many so called universities accrditing agencies are operating from mail box, so I understand your point very well.

  12. Just making a bad joke here, but it does look like you've finally "learned" how to spell "learner"...... Don't think that resulted from an SRU education.

Can anyone tell me whether the letter has really come from MOE or not this time, since it is in the name of director general of MOE? If it is a real letter, it will be fine the university is supported by the gov't. If it is not real, the university will offense misrepresentation to the public!

I am very curious about something…….

Why is it that with the latest news out of SRU, all that can be said by the good people on this site is the continued unsubstantiated, opinionated, unfounded, hearsay that has prevailed all along regarding SRU.

Why doesn’t anyone want to address the real issues in this latest news? Such as:

The Liberian Higher Education Commission has completely exonerated SRU of any wrong doing.

That the accreditation confusion “was not the fault of St. Regis University”.

That there has never been “any evidence of wrong doing or of issuing “bogus” degrees”.

What I think is more significant is the fact that “NO United States agency”, including agencies from the states of Georgia and Oregon, have “ever researched or evaluated any St. Regis University programs and/or accreditation status”; at least not through the Higher Education Commission of Liberia which commission would be pivotal in any investigation into any Liberian university. Yet teachers have lost their careers in Georgia and laws have been passed in Oregon against SRU degrees; all this without the benefit of a basic investigation. We must keep in mind that the actions in Georgia and Oregon were taken long before the accreditation irregularities were announced in Liberia.

I hope that all educated minds can agree that if one is going to accuse a university of being unaccredited, bogus, or engaged in wrong doing; one should at the very least make an earnest effort to contact this university’s accreditation entity and verify its’ status record and standing. The dictates of logic and reason, ethics and morality demand this.

Have we let our passions overtake our intellect?

I would welcome your comments and views. I would also appreciate it if the comments and views were directed at the issues and not at a distracting meaningless attack on me.

For the record I am not a student or graduate of SRU or of any other Liberian university.

    Thanks for listening.

yeah.... I don't buy any of it for a minute. Several reporters have obtained degree's using false information, I know of people from defunct message boards that managed to obtain SRU degree's with no work, and the fact that finger prints of certain people are all over SRU i don't see how you can say what you say, unless of course, you have a degree from SRU and you are hoping you can one day legally use it.

if SRU was legitimatly accredited why then SRU didn't take action, that is legal action to clear their name?

I read on the net that people with bogus resume were offered multiple degrees etc.

Just give us your credit card payment

congrratulations you are eligible for BS, MBA, PhD, Professorship.

if they changed than I'm happy for them and their geaduates.

I saw the letter was explaining the online universities under revising in policies for accreditation. Is it serious this time under the guidance of MOE?

Anyway, can anyone verify the letter being real?
