There are more than a few people who consider the University of Phoenix a diploma mill -- so the answer is bound to be 'yes.' However, the reason we spend a good deal of time in our Degree Mills book working on a definition is there is clearly a continuum among the schools without generally accepted accreditation, from the well accepted to the beyond-any-doubt-phony. Each person must decide where to put any given school on this continuum. And bear in mind that being called a diploma mill is not isomorphic with being unusable or unacceptable. The vast majority of university registrars do not accept Preston degrees, but most of them, I believe, would not call it a diploma mill.
Hi: I think the search function (top right area of screen; gray button) may not be working quite right--some have noted that. Once it is working, please check for old threads on Preston if you want more info beyond what Drs Bear and Douglas posted. Here's a couple things: Wyoming approval is meaningless as a quality control device--all it is is a business license. Also, the dispute involved the question of whether Preston U. of Pakistan (the primary institution) was or was not accredited-or-equivalent by the Government of Pakistan. I am not sure that a really clear answer to that was obtained, but if it were positive, then PrestonPak would possess more oomph than PrestonWyo. Janko
Sorry, but the search function never has worked for me, I type something and press search nothing ever comes up lol.

Already got mine.. .. having taken advantage of the offer initially given by John Bear I already have my book in hand signed by Mr. Ezell. It's a great book from what I've thus far & I expected nothing less. In fact, I read the book at work today and it was the most productive part of my entire day. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.
Registered but unaccredited. Widespread in Malaysia and is operating out of a shophouse campus in the suburbs.
We heard that the government of Pakistan was tossing Preston out owing to poor standards. Does anyone know more about that? One of the Wyoming papers ran a story about Preston taking some state legislators on a junket to south Asia. Pretty humorous.
The evil cybercanine in the claymation film "A Close Shave" was named "Preston" for what that's worth.
