    Hello,

I'am currently trying to understand Ed Directs Accreditation, they state DETC & CSSMSA. I was wondering which programs are accredited by both and which one's are just DETC accredited?.

    Thanks for any info

They have DETC accreditation for all of their programs. Additionally, they have regional accreditation (RA) through the Middle States Association for their high school diploma program and their vocational certificate programs, meaning the post-secondary ones that don't lead to an associate's degree. Also, most of the individual courses in their associate's degree programs are ACE reviewed, which should facilitate transfer to 4-year RA schools.

Their site says "most", not "all", of the courses in the degree programs have been successfully ACE reviewed so I guess you would need to contact Ed Direct for a list of which courses are and which are not.

The additional accreditation is a good thing, if somewhat confusing. The full regional accreditation of their certificate programs theoretically means that those should be fully transferable for RA college credits, and most (not all) RA colleges accept credits that have been successfully reviewed by ACE.

Then I hope you don't mind if I now confuse it further. :)

I just checked Ed Direct's site just to be sure it was still the same, and in the process just missed the 10-minute window to edit a post. The accreditations in the first reply are still the same. Apparently they now have a couple more endorsements though. From their site:

Many Education Direct programs are endorsed by professional trade organizations, including the Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) and the National Association of Radio and Telecommunications Engineers (NARTE).

In addition, Education Direct has been reviewed and approved as an Authorized Provider of continuing education and training programs by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).
