My AOL News this AM says there is a lawsuit in Texas over Trinity Southern Univ granting an MBA to a cat for $299. I don't know what the cat's gripe is. Seems cheap enough to me.

The cat is disgruntled over the academic rigor of the program. Seems he began reading up on MBA requirements at other schools and found that most MBA's require at least a paper or two.......;)

    Exegesis ueber alles

Not to mention the fact that the degree did not require proficiency in Akkadian and Sumerian, the original languages of business documents, and they were such zhlubs that they wouldn't call it English MBA.

animal farm, or, oh stop it, Janko

By no means! What's sauce for the theological goose is sauce for the rapacious-capitalism (oops) gander. After all, if LBU can give a degree to a jackass--you know who I mean--, and this outfit to a cat...we seem to develop a regular zoo of graduates here. What next? A degree to a dog from the Culinary Institute of Pyongyang (would you like that rare or well done? both, please). A degree to a camel from the NAPSNC-addredited sex institute in S.F.--one hump or two? And let's "duck" the question of anything from Knightsbridge...

Oy, Nosborne, nooooooo! I am not Church Growth Movement--anything but--where business=Bible. (See how lucky you Jews are? You don't have crap like CGM.)

this is great... all I know is that my cat is pretty excited about it; he's beginning to look into tuna processing.

SRU... lots of life credits for familiarity with tuna. It's accredited in Liberia you know. Smells fishy tho.

On a more serious level, I'll tell you how it came to be that I found (and necromanced) this old thread. I was doing a search for old threads on online undergrad degrees in poli sci so I could pirate one such thread and make it into one of my infamous From The Great State Of... Stickies but couldn't find one. However, I did find this old Cat With MBA thread that reminded me of a recent Dog With High School Diploma thread. On the "Who necromanced this old thread?", I have to say this: I don't do a very good job of distinguishing those cases where I'm pissed off about the thread necromancy from those cases in which I find the necromanced thread a real blast from the past.
