Check out Christian Bible College (www.christianbiblecollege.org). They list under "Degrees Offered" at the bottom of the page their grades. A, B, C, D, E. E=Failure, according to them! Also, Omega Bible Institute (www.omega.edu/site/frame.html) says on the FAQ page that: "Omega maintains its accrdidation with the Transworld Accrediting Comission (TAC) out of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Probably the strictest accredited comission in America." Whew! Either it is or it isn't! Isn't this humorous?

I don't know, Bill! But even I wouldn't pay the extra money for Trinity to slap on that silly English degree! You just had to say that, didn't you! :)

    "silly"?

How could it have been "silly" when the Trinity Seminary catalogue said that sticker meant that the program of one's degree was endorsed by the famous Liverpool U. or made the TTs curricula "world class" and "widely recognized" ?

How could it be "silly" when the Trinity catalogue asserted that that sticker gave one's degree "global accreditation"?

How could it have been "silly" when thousands of God's people were fooled and paid $225 each of their hard earned money for it?

How can a LIE by the leaders of a Christian school just be "silly"?

I don't think "silly" is the right adjective! How about "sinful"?

I don't think that it really matters if they call those sub-D grades 'E's' or 'F's', does it?

I do have to say that out of the many classes that I've taken at various colleges over the years, perhaps the proudest grade that I ever received was... F-. Yep, F minus.

You don't get a grade like that just for not showing up, you have to work hard for it. It's an indication that you ticked off the professor big-time and that he remained steamed for days.

In this case I think that it was justified. The guy's class was basically just political indoctination and he was abusive and sarcastic, challenging his young students to disagree with him, and then ridiculing them when they tried. So I took him on in front of the class and showed him up.

    Professors hate that.

I'm in my 50's and I've noticed that when I take the occasional class, some professors are clearly intimidated by me and others kind of teach to me in class and then seek me out at break time as somebody to drink coffee with.

There's a different dynamic in classes, depending on whether the students are all teenagers or whether they are mixed group of continuing education types. Oddly, some of the most mature classes that I've ever taken were night classes at "lesser" institutions like community colleges, where many of the students were older employed people who already have degrees and who don't browbeat very easily. The instructors, who are often adjuncts with day jobs drawn from similar social circles, know it very well. There's a collegiality to it that's sometimes missing in conventional classes where pompous profs perform in front of the kids.
