Former SRU professor threatens "class action suit" against Liberia

In a Degreeboard.com post, John Dovelos writes that a class-action suit against Liberia is planned if the government does not reverse its position on SRU:

I agree with J's statement above ["How can the previous accreditation be legal when it has been denounced by the very ministry that issued it? This defies all logic"] from an older post that this defies logic.

What defies logic though is how can a Ministry of Education of a country full member of UNESCO denounce as "illegal" documents and statements which itself issued as official and legal for two whole years?

This puts this Ministry in a position of officially admitting guilt to committing fraud which was perpetuated for two years against thousands of people. In that is also involved the Liberian Ministry of Justice which, through its Minister and other officials, supported and verified SRU's status up to the last moment before the denouncement. Many other Liberian officials, currently holding high positions, will be also implicated.

If the Liberian authorities maintain their present position of declaring SRU's accreditation as illegal, we as a group will file a class action with the International Court and also an official complaint with UNESCO.

If fraud has been committed, I imagine it could be easily surmised that the only motive was money. This means that all those Liberian Ministers and other highly placed officials perpetrated this scam in order to defraud thousands of SRU graduates of their money.

Let's see what will be the Liberian government's reaction when they receive a warning about such impending action.

In a second post, Mr. Dovelos comments that degrees from US RA schools are as "questionable" as SRU degrees:

...So, it would appear that the only way to truly and reliably evaluate a degree, no matter where its accreditation comes from, is a detailed examination of what exactly the degree holder did to earn his or her degree. This should include, if there are any doubts, appropriate written and oral exams to verify knowledge of subject areas.

Without this type of evaluation, I would claim that U.S. RA degrees are currently as questionalble as SRU degrees.
