Connecticut fights back

    Hello all. Long time listener, first time etc...

    I thought you might be interested in this:

    The Hartford Couurant (CT) reports today that Connecticut has ordered nine unofficial schools to cease trading within the state, citing fears that some are outright diploma mills. The story, for which registration is required, can be found here. The "schools" concerned are:

    Suffield University
    Bais Binyomin Academy
    Ebenezer Temple
    Marlborough University (and its affiliate, Obare Inst. of Management Tech.)
    Salem State College (Which IS recognized in MA)
    Redding University
    The National Graduate School of Quality Systems Mgt
    The School of Homeopathy, Devon (An English school touting itself in CT)
    zUniversity (an online venture based in Stamford, CT)

    I believe New England public TV is running an interview with the writer of the article each hour today (9/15)

    I'm sure some of these names have appeared here before....

    I wonder how erm Adam Smith University is faring (mail to Saipan, run from Wilton).

    It is good new, I hope more states will follow especially Hawaii.
