Just want to do a shout out to all of you on this board for bringing to light the ' Diploma mill ' topic. I had applied to KW university and was waiting on the so called board to review my application. I had researched schools a lot and although I found a few bad things nothing too serious until I came to this board.Upon reading the posts I emailed KW and asked for more details and testimonials from previous students about the school and courses. After them ignoring me for two days, when previously the 'counselor' responded almost within hours, I decided to withdraw my application as well as telling them what I thought about the service and ' counselors ', this email was responded to almost immediately and I was told my refund is being initiated.
I am now enrolled in Ashworth college through PCDI which is DTEC accredited and will began a AS in Human Resource Management, when Im done I will progress to a BS degree at a college that I can transfer my credits to. THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE......

That's a most wonderful post, thanks. I'm most pleased that you didn't waste more time, energy, or money on KWU. One because I'm sure that you deserve much better. Two because KWU doesn't deserve your money. It's also makes me feel good that DegreeInfo was able to contribute to a more fair, just, and useful outcome in your situation. Good luck on your real academic career!!!

Finding this board also stopped ME from signing up with K-W.

Wow Nosborne, I didn't know that. Congrats on avoiding their scam. They do seem to have an especially sticky web, the <expletive deleted>.

Yes, at the time they had a PhD in Criminal Justice that I thought looked interesting. The program disappeared shortly thereafter. I went so far as to send for the catalog and application forms.

I also considered K-W at one point. Not for a degree but for one of their certificate programs. They seemed very pushy and dropped the idea for a while. I often though about it until I found this site.

I was about to submit my application and this board saved me from doing that.

    Thank you DegreeInfo.

One could divide degree mills into two categories. The degree mills targeting primarily co-conspirators. The degree mills targeting primarily uninformed consumers. I believe the first category is the largest category. I believe that KWU is in the elite of the second category.
