Helps establish the truth about SRU. Publicizes the same. Serves as a deterrent. Punishes frauds. Protects public.

    All good.

    Hmmm

Unfortunately I don't think this is a tough one. As the board stated it is clear the Teachers knew what they were doing and that it was fraud. Like Police Officers, and others in positions of authority, the Teachers need to set an example and failed miserably. While it is severe, I think it is appropriate to cancel there certifications, seek repayment of funds, and perhaps prosecute them.

As one of the very few here who happens to be a credentialed teacher (both for adults and for children), I have little sympathy for them. If our teachers cannot exhibit ethical behavior, then who can? Should teachers be held to a higher standard? I think most folks should be held to a higher standard.

However, committing fraud, and it was most certainly fraud, should result in harsh penalties.

As a teacher in High School, and pursuing an online Master's Degree, I would have to agree with everybody else here. Teachers need to set a higher standard, and their conduct lowers the value of my own online education.

I only wish we could extract our unethical politicians as quick and severe as we can our unethical educators.
