    Hello,

I am from Hong Kong, and I would like to apply for the CCU MS Psychology program since I heard that it will be accredited this June.

Originally, I would like to apply after its accreditation, however, I am afraod the fee will be raised immediately after the accreditation.

And, I also want to ask CCU and SCUPS, which one would be better?

Finally, I would like to know, whether Hong Kong will accept DETC-accredited degree or not.

    Thanks a lot!

    Thanks a lot.

I've enquired The University of Hong Kong through email, gut it haven't replied me. Another University replied me that it will accept the degree.

I just don't know whether DETC-accredited degree is good enough to apply futher education.

Have you considered the distant learning MS in Negotiation and Conflict Management offered by California State University Dominguez Hills?

This is a popular program with law enforcement personnel and it is regionally accredited.

Shirley, I am not sure about Hong Kong but here in Malaysia DETC accredited universities are not recognized by Malaysian Ministry of Education. Ministry get in put from MACEE (Malaysian American Council for Education Exchange) who only recommend RA accredited universities and main point they highlighted is that student graduating with DETC accredited universities might face problems in getting their full credit transfer to RA universities. In summary DETC accredited universities are not permitted to offer programs legally in Malaysia.

I am sure in Hong Kong you wuld have a similar organization such as MACEE where you can get more information.

Would you please reccommend RA Universities offered Psychology Master degree by DL?

Capella, Walden and Northcentral are quite expensive indeed.

Shirley, Please do not mix the thread. It would be better to start a new thread for the information you are requesting.

The program is 11 courses at $840 each, which comes out to $9,240 American. Very reasonable.

You probably have to pay for books, so add $70-$100 for each course.

Hi everybody. Can you please enlighten me? What does SCUPS stand for?

Peter Chin, I know this question is not relevant to the topic being discussed in this thread, but since you live in Malaysia can you please give me some information about Ansted university? It seems to be registered in the British Virgin Islands but its main operations are in Penang, Malaysia. Have you heard of them? Do you know whether they are recognized by MACEE? Are their degrees acceptable in Malaysia?

    Thank you

Just my opinions from the little I know.

Southern California University for Professional Studies (SCUPS)

Anstead University owner Dr. Roger Haw from Penang, Malaysia

    http://www.hcln.net/socent/profile_Roger_Haw.htm

MACEE (Malaysian American Council for Educational Exchange) obviously would not have anything to do with Anstead University that is registered in BVI and without any doubt is a diploma mill.

Acceptable in Malaysia by who????? perhaps the companies that were bankrupt over few years: :)

How do you know so much about the Anstead? Are you from Malaysia too?
