The State of Hawaii, by its Office of Consumer Protection, filed suit yesterday against Cambridge State University, Incorporated (a Delaware corporation). The suit alleges that the defendant violated various provisions of Hawaii's consumer protection laws, including the Unaccredited Degree Granting Institutions Law (Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 446E) and the uniform unfair and deceptive acts laws (Chapter 480 and 481) and seeks injunctive relief, restitution, civil penalties and other equitable relief.
