    Ads Not Correct

The ad is very misleading. The owner of the ad is not AIU or Phoenix. It the following " http://EarnMyDegree.com " They are simply getting paid to refer people to the site through an online affiliation program. Trust me, there is no life experience credits at AIU. There is standardized testing for CLEP, Dantes and one more I cant remember.

    Mark,

I checked the UoP ad and I don't see anything about "Life Experience" degrees. In fact, the page states "many of our students complete their degrees in approximately 2 to 3 years."

UoP has a process by which you can convert "prior learning" (perhaps that's what they mean by "life experience") to college credit. The process is called "Prior Learning Assessment" and if you wish to learn more about it you can contact:

    University of Phoenix
    Prior Learning Assessment Center
    4615 East Elwood Street
    Mail Stop: AA-F010
    Phoenix, AZ 85040

or call the University at 800-866-3919.

With regards of these ads... a search on WhoIs shows that both the AIU and UoP sites are registered to World Class Strategy of 1932 1st Ave. Seattle, WA. Perhaps WCS worded the ads in the same manner one of their other clients operates? Check out this page... Kennedy-Western is also one of their clients:rolleyes: http://www.worldclassstrategy.com/results/clients.html

    not true

Neither of those schools offer degrees based soley on life experience. Credit can be earned by portfolio assessment (costs money, takes A LOT of experience to get any credits) CLEP, DANTES, Excelsior tests etc...), and transfer credits. Like any other accredited school, a certain number of credits have to be completed at the university, or online in their case.

Mark was showing how the Google Ad sense ads can be very misleading. And can be targeted to the audience, eg those that are interested in "Life Experience". This is one of the main reasosns this forum does not use this source of revenue generation.
