Claremont University degrees can be evaluated as equivalent to US Regionally Accredited degrees for education and employment purposes.

Your Claremont University degree can be evaluated to be of full equivalence with US Regionally Accredited degrees and other foreign nationally-accredited degrees. Highly-reputable US credential evaluators who are well-established in this area and whose evaluations are widely accepted for educational and employment have evaluated Claremont's degrees as being equivalent to one obtained from a Regionally Accredited US university. Claremont University Graduates in Education can become certified as teachers in the USA.

So, it's as easy as creating an IBC on the Seychelles and getting RA equivalency, is it?

    Cheers,

    George

Apparently so...Claremont's nice looking website includes the following fascinating infformation:

    Legal Authority
Claremont International University PLC, is a private university incorporated in 2003 under the International Business Companies Act, 1994 (Act 24 of 1994) in the Republic of Seychelles. The Republic of Seychelles is an independent democratic nation and a full member of the British Commonwealth of nations and the United Nations.

OK, so they have been incorporated since 2003. That would make this existence of this "university" somewhere between 4 and 16 months.

"What is Claremont University's Legal Authority and/or recognition? Claremont University, is a highly respected and internationally recognized University."

In 4-16 months, Claremont has gained high respect and international recognition...quite an accomplishment!

How well respected will I be as a Claremont University graduate?
Graduating from an internationally recognized institution, alumni can expect to be respected for their academic accomplishments just as the graduates of the campus based school have always been. Graduates of Claremont University enjoy careers as teachers, counselors, scholarly researchers, and in other applied fields.

Really? All this in 4-16 months of existence? Wow! I do not think that any other institution of higher learning in history has accomplished so much in so little time!

Does anyone else see red flags here?

The usual old lies that seem to flow in torrents from most unaccredited institutions of 'learning.'

Please note that Claremont University, has no connexion whatsoever with any other institution bearing the name Claremont, including, but not limited to, institutions based in the United States of America.

    connexion

So, is that how "connection" is spelled in the Republic of Seychelles?

    Uh, yes?

You MUST be American. Yes, "connexion" is proper English -- as in how they write it in England. You'll see it everywhere English is written except the US.

This in no way acquits "Claremont University" of being a mill. Anyone want to hear my "British Commonwealth" rant again? Anyone? Anyone?

    Okay, never mind then.

Huh?? Gus? Why are you named in the contacts?

The regristry has the site being registered out of India.... Of course we all ready know that India has a list of unaccredited schools or as the UGC put it "FAKE" schools.

At this point I do not know for certain. Anyone can register for a free email address at mail.com and select from numerous adresses, including @mindless.com. There are, however, several possibilities why they chose my name, including:
    • It is some kind of joke (or better said, an attempt to f*ck with me).
    • It is an attempt to discredit me (or better said, an attempt to f*ck with me).
    • It is some kind of challenge (or better said, an attempt to f*ck with me).
    • The individual is too stupid to know how to spell his or her own name, so they chose mine instead (once again, in an attempt to f*ck with me)
What I do know, however, is this: It is a temerarious, in your face, not too intelligent admission that they are indeed a degree mill.

I think that this e-mail address represents a valuable clue. It suggests that the person behind this "university"...

    A. Is familiar with Gus, probably from Degreeinfo.

    B. Is somebody who apparently has tangled with Gus in the past and who continues to hold a grudge.

Add that to the possibility that he/she is Indian, and may have come across as foreign (perhaps using those British spellings) on this board.

I'll also say that it's a backhanded compliment to Gus' discerning perception. It verifies that somebody that Gus once saw fit to argue with was, in fact, a degree-mill operator.

I wonder if this person picked up his "RA equivalency" "credential evaluator" lines right here, perhaps from reading the SRU and Berne threads. Hopefully Degreenfo's discussions of degree-mills isn't serving as a finishing school for aspiring mill proprietors.

What, precisely, do you find so amusing?

What kind of argument can you now present for my divulging more personal information on a public forum that is obviously monitored by nefarious degree mill operators. What possible motives could you have that would justify further endangering my family and me?

You are beyond sick, Dennis, you are selfishly and distastefully wicked.

I often wonder about that. Considering that SRU always picks up on what we talk about.

We've talked about it on this board, relating to SRU, IIRC.

While I think it's true, it doesn't change things. MIGS used to respond all the time to comments from Degreeinfo with changes to its website. But that didn't change the fact that they didn't have what it took to launch a substantive school. (Or even a branch of one.)

I don't know, Rafael, but I am reasonably certain that the number of stupid questions I am asked is a contributing factor. :D

    Gus,

Quite honestly, I am sorry I ever brought it up.

    Perhaps.....

If you weren't such an easy target you would not be the recipient of so many " stupid questions".

You are very good in a war of words and wit but you still have VERY thin skin.
