prague international university and its american scam artists

this university claims that they have maintained a dual - degree program with Jefferson United University (USA).

has anyone ever heard of this university before? I searched google but found nothing...

 

This is interesting. Branch of a Russian school in Prague? Never heard of anything like this.
NortWest Academy of State Service seems legitimate. But what do Czechs do with Russian qualifications?

 

i think this university is only served to thoes russian minorities in prague or thoes whom from eastern bloc trying to study in prague.

 

Yeah, you are probably right. For-profit thing selling perceived "European" prestige for those Russians who can pay for such. In this context, partnering with obscure/fake US university can be explained (altough IMHO a mistake). BTW, they also partner with SCUPS.
Having said that, the school still seems legitimate. License, accreditation, "State diplomas" -all seem to be in place. Definitely not like IUFS

Yes, if I'm not compeltely mistaken Prague international is done by the people formerly operating the american university of suriname and american international university under the name of the tmt ag in haiger/germany (muhilly). They also did eire international university and weston reserve university beside other scams. the tmt ag was shut down by german government in their room within a mall formerly belonging to a food discounter. (this also answers a question Mr. bear posted a couple of years ago asking for what was to be found behind their address )

 

are you sure? because all the staff (including their president)
are russians. How did they previously arrange the American university in Suriname?

 

As I understand, it awards Russian diplomas by authority of NorthWest Academy of State Service in St. Petersbourgh. NWASS is new and probably not that well respected, but it seem to be properly accredited.

This makes their "american" program even more funny: students have the opportunity to receive degree mill credential by completing legitimate program of study! Same is seemingly the case with, for example, WIU Ukraine.

 

Thier tuition for the masters program is about US$600/sem and the bachelor program is about US$300/sem. If this is on the up and up the cost is quite good.

I wonder what other loopholes will be attempted when the EU enlargement takes place? As of today it is 27 days away (May 1).

 

...wich probably does not mean that it will be recognised as EU university. It is Russian school geared toward Russians. They probably went there for false prestige and a chance to avoid military service by actually being out of country.

 

I dont' think they are DL though. The price seems to be not out of line with other private schools in Russia. The place looks unusual but plausible.
