Man, I was going to use the whole "university burned down" ploy. Drat.

I earned my Ph.D. in arrow making from Atlantis University, unfortunately all records were lost when it sunk into the ocean 3 or 4 millenia ago.

    ATLANTIS UNIVERSITY!!! YEAH!!!

    Hey Bill,

I didn't know you went to Atlantis U also. I got my PhD in crystal weapons which CAUSED the island to sink! I told everyone that I was sorry and that I hoped they wouldn't blame this on some level of substandard diploma-mill education.

  6. I was pursuing my PhD in plate tectonics at the University of South Gondwanaland.

Unfortunately I could not complete my disseration before the great breakup of 129,997,995 BC...alas, I was on one continent and my doctoral advisory committee was on another...

    Cheers,
    Mark

I actually received a doctorate in philosophy from Socrates himself. It's difficult to prove this because my transcripts are written on stone. Do you know how expensive it is to courier a 100lb transcript to prospective employers?
