http://www.liberian-connection.com/ is a commercial web site of interest to Liberians living in the United States. Its webmaster, Ciata Victor, had been asked by Aaron Kollie to create an embassy site, to be contained in liberian-connection.com, after the previous site's domain registration had expired last year.

She did so, building an embassy web site at http://www.liberian-connection.com/embassy.htm. (This is where Aaron Kollie's statement concerning Saint Regis was posted in September, 2003.)

I noticed two recent developments on the liberian-connection.com site; taken in combination they are curious (and amusing).

The first is the posting to the embassy site of the information in that letter sent to SRU (apparently from a convenience store) which confirms its Liberian accreditation.

The second is the inclusion in the liberian-connection.com news page of the full text of Bogus degrees FROM "LIBERIA" land GA teachers in woodshed (the upper case emphasis and quotation marks around "LIBERIA" are from the site) in which it is pointed out by Dale Gough of AACRAO that
It is interesting seeing both of these on the liberian-connection domain at the same time.

    Liberian-connection.com SRU news coverage

More news concerning Liberia, this time posted to the entry page of the domain which holds the Liberian Embassy web site:
However, the embassy site, which is contained inside Liberian-connection.com, continues to "verify the Recognition & Accreditation of the Saint Regis Online University."

    Re: Liberian-connection.com SRU news coverage

You really want to get sued - chat about Liberia on the site first mentioned.

The http://www.liberian-connection.com/ domain is now posting three stories about the unacceptability of Saint Regis credentials.

College Head's Online Degree Questioned (picked up from A.P.) is on the entry page while Member of Accrediting Group Claims Degree From Institution Known as a Diploma Mill (from The Chronicle of Higher Education) and Bogus Degrees from Liberia Land GA Teachers in Woodshed (from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution) receive top billing on the site's news page.

This is encouraging: perhaps the expatriate Liberian community will raise its voice in protest over the granting of university credentials to organizations like Saint Regis, Robertstown, and James Monroe.

    College Head's Online Degree Questioned

It shouldn't just be the head that is questioned.
