It is a disgrace that this academic fraud has been allowed to milk the taxpayers since last summer.

The Hamilton University "campus" looks like an old Whiting Brothers motel...

First time I've seen their site and I notice the cross on the building and that Hamilton is a "theocentric" joint. Guess that means it was built around some guy named Theodore. :)

Finally They are Seeing the Light

    Bill,

I'm so happy they are seeing the light and exposing these frauds. I think there will be several more explosions this year, even higher. I simply can't wait for the future promotion opportunities :)

I think I'm going to dedicate a spot on my website's bulletin board to it today.:D

As I understand it, Callahan's legal action will, in effect, be asking for parity in penalties.

If she is forced out, two months short of her pension, and not allowed to apply 10 months of sick leave and vacation pay in order to qualify for a pension, so be it, but let's look for comparable treatment for the two top people at Defense (Abell) and Transportation, and . . .

. . . from the reports here at the registrars' convention, the very large number of GS-18 and above employees of the seven government departments who have been discovered by the General Accounting Audit's degree audit, now completed, and apparently to be made public within the next three weeks.

    Makes sense to me.

I think I'm going to have to side with Callahan on this one. Fire all the academic frauds that have been collecting government paychecks. That should make some room for hopefully more honest, if not more qualified individuals, which theoretically should improve things.

    Bill,

I hope you get your wish. I have worked with some that I am sure are flying below the radar right about now. However parity in penalties at this level is directly related to politics and power.

It is sad but true. Hopefully there will be enough Democrats in the bunch that the congress will continue to push for a good housecleaning. Which ever way it goes, I think it will be interesting and I hope at the least the practice of academic fraud will become far less common.

I think that academic fraud knows no political boundaries. There are dishonest people in every segment of the country, regardless of what political label they assign themselves.

    Short-Term Farewell

I know I'm a relative new-comer to this site and have posted little during my tenure. I have enjoyed observing (and participating in, to some limited extent) the many discourses on this site. I will however, be taking a leave of absence on this site due to my immediate deployment to Iraq. Will begin to correspond again on the flip-flop upon my return.

    Ernie :(

    Ernie,

having been in that direction on at least three occasions myself, best of luck and do post upon your return. Safe journey....

    Mass firing

    Mr. Bear,

Do you envision a mass firing of thousands of Fed Gov employees with unaccredited degrees listed in their Gov employee records? I think Ms. Callahan has a point. "If you fire me, then fire the other thousands of employees who list these degrees on their resumes/employee records too."
