Things should get very interesting when the 3/31 report is released.

I expect to see a lot of "the degree wasn't really a requirement for the position they hold" when the results of the audit are revealed. :(

President Bush should drop Cheney from the ticket and ask Collins to run with him. She is one of my favorite U.S. Senators along with Olympia Snowe, Thad Cochran, Jim Talent, and a host of other moderates.

The 2002 GAO report mentioned in this article is available on line at www.gao.gov
    Here is the report abstract:

"Purchases of Degrees from Diploma Mills GAO-03-269R November 21, 2002

This report discusses the investigation of diploma mills that illegally sell fraudulent academic degrees to individuals that use them to gain positions and increase income based upon these documents. Per request, GAO handled the undercover operation and successfully purchased a degree from a diploma mill to demonstrate how easily one can be purchased. Individuals found guilty of purchasing such documents were contacted and interviewed as well, further concluding the identity of a diploma mill, Degrees-R-Us. The owner was questioned and admitted to the sales of approximately 100 fraudulent degrees over the past 2 years when his business began. This matter will be investigated by both the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Postal Service as well"

I'm a liberal Democrat, but I rather like moderate Republicans. They tend to be conservative on fiscal issues and liberal on social issues; just my speed.

That's what I loved about Clinton. He was able to take a fiscally conservative approach (remember balanced budgets?), yet was a progressive on social issues. But he got the gays in the military sitaution all wrong (early jitters). He should have just come down on one side or the other.

Anyway, I'd cross party lines to vote for John McCain.

Well, I don't think Clinton was all that great and there is some specualtion he decimated the CIA and that's the reason for 9/11 and that's why thre was bad intelligence on the WMD's.

I don't think you will find the military too crazy about Clinton.

Clinton and the gay issue in the military is an issue that boils down to basic civil and constitutional rights.

This is a good site, for what it's worth:
