I was reading an article on www.malet.com (a nice little informative website), and when I got to the about the author part I saw that it was written by a gentleman who is described as being a former "Adjunct Professor of English Law and the English Legal System with St. Regis University". It goes on to state that he is presently "head of a religious studies department for St. Regis". (Notice the setup for a detachable head joke).

This of course begs the question: how many religious studies departments could there be at St. Regis?

But anyway, my reading of Degreeinfo has always led me to understand that St. Regis is, to put it politely, something of a scam?

Link to the article, scroll right to the end for the about the author section.

I suppose "statue" could be a typo for "statute", but twice?

If you do a Google search for "SRU will also name you as the Head of your Department" you'll find (for a short time, in
    Google's cache
, since the original page seems to have been moved) the material which follows. It would seem that writing course material makes one the head of the appropriate department. I suppose two authors writing in the same field might clash as simultaneous department heads.

It seems they have completely redefined the nature and purpose of a doctoral dissertation. Imagine completing your dissertation and being assigned the Head of a Department all in one fell swoop.
