discredited accreditation

    The article is accurate to an extent. The author is leaving out the National Accrediting agencies that are recognized by the U.S. Dept of Education and CHEA. (AABC, TRACS, ATS, DETC, etc.)

    Yes, I agree that the article is not entirely accurate about accreditation. For example a fragment of the article states that: "Genuine schools are accredited by their own government (or in the US by one of six regional accreditors). But no genuine school is accredited by multiple countries in which the school is not even located. " This statement is not accurate becuase UNISA, Leeds, and several other schools in Europe, North America, and Central America are accreditted by DETC and RA agencies.

    Ike, very true but I believe that it is also very unusual.
