A customer of Saint Regis has posted a pdf file containing

    (1) a letter certifying the award of an SRU BA
    (2) a large image of a diploma dated June 5, 2001 with signatures of the "Dean of Studies" and "Chief Provost" missing
    (3) an image of what's probably a wallet card with signatures of the "Dean of Studies" and "Chief Provost" set in two different printed fonts as "Patrick O'Bren" and "Dr. Richard Hoyer" respectively
    (4) a medium image of a diploma dated June 5, 2001 with signatures of the "Dean of Studies" and "Chief Provost" missing. This is a very slightly different document from the large diploma.
    (5) a letter of congratulations from the "Official Transcript Verification Center" in Washington.

The document property info in the pdf file gives its creation date as Nov. 12, 2002.

A bachelor's degree. Why didn't he spring for the big one - short of coin??

The Dean of Studies and the Chief Provost weren't around to sign his diploma. They were too busy cashing his check.

Obviously he is very proud of his credential. St. Regis cn now look forward to possiblly gain additional dollars for more degrees. This may be especially true if he should ever decide to apply to an RA graduate school. Whereby he would not get accepted and would therefore go back to SRU or some partner of SRU out there for continuing education.

I thought the letter from the Chief Provost was extra special. Unfortunately, his bachelor degree may be able to fly farther under the time bomb radar than a Ph.D. if he should use it this credential for a job.

Take a good look at that pdf file, this is not a scanned in copy. The text is editable with the full version of Adobe... Do you think Saint Regis sends out their source file now?

Oddly, the whois for the bigpill.com shows that it is registered to Brent Nelson in Seattle. The email address shows that Mr. Nelson works at Microsoft, but it also uses the name Brett.

So perhaps Brett/Brent was researching for MS. I hope they didn't hire him on the basis of that degree.

The address listed in the Whois search is really his according to a Lexis search I did on him.

Woo hoo I made myself a SRU diploma w/o paying the fee ! Long live Adobe !

I asked my daughter this question. She said, “No, you should refer to him as Dr. Poopoohead, just like everyone else with a St. Regis doctorate.” :D

  10. SRU advance prints = full scholarship

Seeing as how it is unlikely that any of the SRU operatives have a "real education", they are probably too dumb to realize the subtleties of Adobe editing when they send these things out to their "students".

As I recall, and this is coming from a friend who was in touch with SRU about a year ago, they send you an advance "proof" in email of what you are going to get from them after they "approve" you, and before they receive your check for the "degree".

My friend even got the degrees sent to him in the mail, and this was after he changed his mind (at my urging) and did not go through with the deal. After he saw his proofs, and after he gave this all some serious thought, he decided it was stupid to pay $700 or some similar amount for a "timebomb in his resume".

I guess once SRU went through all the trouble of making up the proofs, they either didn't follow through with making sure he paid or whatever before they just shipped the stuff to his house via priority US mail. So he has the degree framed in his office at home, and we laugh about it every once in a while - perhaps one of many SRU "grads" who received a "full scholarship" through the ridiculously loose credit & collection business practices of the "institution"?

Whatever - it is a huge joke.

It is a huge joke. Knowing stuff like this about SRU from first-hand experiences is why I can say so confidently that the entire thing is a fraud, and the current (and growing ranks of) SRU faculty who are so valiantly trying to prove their legitimacy as a worthy "Liberian institution" are all in on the crime - they know in their hearts how it works, even if their heads are currently in another location.... Many of them have worked for other scams, such as Dr. Azad who was involved with the whole InstantDegrees / Canterbury / Earlscroft / etc. (please keep it a secret!) scam.
