BBC news World edition, January 5, 2004: Web-based bogus UK universities appear to be thriving despite the efforts of the authorities to shut them down
An amusing thing (but maybe not to John!): Bear's Guide is quoted in the Shepperton site here: http://www.sheppertonu.org.uk/general.html.

Bear's Guide is also quoted by Saint Regis (http://saintregis.edu.lr/non-traditional_vs_traditional.htm) and the "University for Integrative Learning" (http://www.uiledu.org/forum3.html).
