The Hampton Bay University web site at http://www.hamptonbayu.com/ says the school "has been purchased by an accredited university." (This has been discussed in at least one previous thread.)

On the current HBU page is a photo of a stone church labeled "Hampton Bay University." At the bottom of the photo is the text "Advanced Education Development Specialists."

The Hampton Bay site is registered to Dixie Randock; the date of last modification of the registration information was 12/6/02. Here's the WHOIS information.

The Web Archive cache of the Hampton Bay site from 2/12/03 has Hampton Bay declaring itself an "Official Branch of St. Regis University" as well as " FULLY ACCREDITED & RECOGNIZED BY THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION."

The graphic above this last statement does not appear in the Web Archive presentation of the page, but the (missing) file name is "Liberia Ed Minister Cert.gif" so it is clear where the accreditation comes from.
