The Christa McAuliffe Academy is a state-approved online K-12 program with web site http://www.cmacademy.org/.

As it turns out, Glen Blomgren (described on the school's web site as the program's Founder/CEO/Principal) acquired a pair of degrees from Saint Regis University: a "Master of Education degree in instructional technology" and a Ph.D. in "educational leadership."

An article by Bill Morlin in the Spokane Spokesman-Review, available online at http://www.spokesmanreview.com/news-story.asp?date=120503&ID=s1450903, tells the story.

A google cache of the page http://www.cmacademy.org/print.php?file=contactmain contains this biographical sketch for Mr. Blomgren:
The references to St. Regis have been removed in the current version of his bio.

Though this may indicate poor judgement on the part of Mr. Blomgren, it DOES NOT tell us about the quality of the Christa McAuliffe Academy, or even Mr. Blomgren's skills as an educator. His school is state-approved, and he has been an educator for quite some time. Perhaps a real program would have allowed him to acquire an advanced degree in a short period of time.

LOL. He meant to say "... before transferring my money to Saint Regis University ..."

The article doesn't mention whether he used VISA, AMEX or MasterCard to pay for his degrees. :D

Based on historical data of what people seem to typically say in this situation, I will have to caution you that Christa McAuliffe was probably the one person that did hard work at SRU and actually earned their degrees there. :D :D

Are you saying Christa attended SRU?

Christa attended Framingham State College, majored in history, and received her degree in 1970.
She then attended Bowie State College and earned a masters degree in school administration in 1978.
