    Do you know a possibility to study on-line (accredited) from Bachelor to Doctor (Theology or related subject)?

    That would be great help for me.

    Greetings from Germany!

    There are opportunities to do a bachelor's or masters by distance learning in Bible or Theology in US schools which are regionally and or /ATS or nationally accredited or GAAP "foreign" schools in the UK, Australia (I think) , and South Africa . As Bruce suggests look over Jason Baker's site. National accreditation in the USA is deemed in some contexts to have less utility than RA/ATS. One GAAP school I would look at is South African Theological Seminary. It is accredited by the agency approved by the SA government.

    As for the PhD/ThD there is no accredited school at this time in the US offering these degrees by DL only although some portion of the degree can be taken in this mode. There are several opportunities to aquire the doctorate in Bible/Theology by research from "foreign" schools.

    ACCS at this time offers the BA,MA,MDiv, and doctor in ministry degrees all with a concentration in Bible/Theology, and all by DL. It at this time is NA, but is having some difficulty re accreditation;several here, me too, are hoping it retains it accredited status.

    Then there are several non accredited schools in the USA as Bethany in Dothan and Louisiana Baptist which offer degrees at all levels including doctorates in Bible/Theology completely by DL. One should proceed with caution. These schools are not highly regarded in academe and their degrees may not suffice in many contexts. Personally, my opinion is that their grad degrees are inconsistent with what is normally required in regionally accredited schools. My judgement is based on data as qualifications of professors , program descriptions, and lack of contribution to the standard literature by those connected with such schools. The chancellor of one, eg, is not even a member in the Evangelical Theological Society where much sharing of research is done. This is atypical in the USA of those holding professorships in the discipline.

    I wish you well as you pursue further education in what to me is a wonderful area of study,

    Greetings, Alexander;
    What do you plan to do with your degree? If you are planning to go into the Ministry, a Doctorate such as D.Min. would be ideal, and accreditation would not be as important as acceptance by your denomination (i.e. Lutheran, etc.) If you are planning to go into the academic world, such as a Professor of Theology, then an Accredited degree is extremely important.
