The niche market appeal of this one is apparent and reprehensible.

The bogus accreditor is The United States Commission of Colleges. At this moment, AFU seems to be the only "school" recognized, apparently having received accreditation on the same day it applied, ten days ago. The "Acquiring USCOC Accreditation" page is a must read, offering a 3 month trial accreditation for $200.

The domain registration for AFU lists a web development company in Connecticut, Blue Wave Data. According to their portfolio page BWD also do the site for the Redding University mill.

Definitely a diploma mill. This site would have been more fun to read had they offered degrees in the following:

Bachelor of Nuclear Detonations
Bachelor of Sharp Shooting
Master of Naval Mutiny
Master of Science in Tossing Grenades
Doctor of Tank Mechanics

 

"Apply your military traning and experience to get your AFU Degree today! " it says here on the website. Anybody else that was in the Navy remember what "AFU" stood for? That degree would be accepted kinda like the "papers" a rookie is asked for.

I was thinking of: "Didja get yer masturbation papers yet?" Also, AFU or SNAFU, AFU=All F***ed Up(really old stuff here, I come from a military family)

 

Dunno, but what they managed to do yesterday included changing the domain registration to reflect a California address.
