Saint Regis University and Microsoft Certifications

Perhaps this belongs in the IT board...

A google search of news groups for "Original MICROSOFT/CISCO Certifications" turns up an apparent 2002 offer by Saint Regis University to sell Microsoft Certifications without requiring the customer to sit for the various exams normally part of the certification process. One pays the fee and to receive the certificate ~40 days later.

this really chaps my hide!

I worked my ass off to get my MCSE and that fartnocker (imagine more harsh wording here) just gives the damn things away!

Has anyone informed MS about this?

 

They were busted months ago

I don't recall the web links, but I read early last winter (late 2002) about this, and that Microsoft had placed a friendly call to them, upon which Hoyer immediately ceased providing this type of St. Regis "education". Having opponents with even bigger $ to spend on lawyers apparently speaks with a language that St. Regis can understand.

 

St Regis may have sold credentials in the past, but THEY ARE CHANGING.

Just keep repeating it, and eventually, you will believe it.
